Tassie Bus Trip

One of the highlights of the Let's Get Stitched events is the bus tour. Today's trip was wonderful. We got to see a real variety of shops and attractions and we laughed and enjoyed ourselves immensely.
First stop was Helen Stubbings new Quarter Inch Quilt shop. It was so good to see Helen and Jo again. The shop is in a lovely old house and will have a cafe in one of the rooms. Perfect combination!
Then into New Norfolk where we found many antique shops and the most wonderful old stationery store.
I bought so many lovely things in this store.....velvet ribbons on old wooden spoils, vintage ribbons, French bookplates, and old printer stamps.
Then lunch was at Salmon Ponds which is a heritage trout hatchery. The gardens were lovely, the food delicious and we got to feed the huge trout and salmon.
Then we were off again....
Out to Hat Creek Quilts. It was so beautiful out here. Gorgeous old house with an amazing view and full of antiques and memorabilia.
I just want to live here and never leave!!!
Then on to beautiful historical Richmond. Another of my favorite places in Tassie.
We found antiques, the lolly shop, the Christmas shop, hand made jewellery and souvenir Huon pine wood pieces.
What a fabulous day.
Only to be topped off with the hilarious Friday night fun of games night. I've laughed so much today that my face hurts. I love these girls so much and these times together are the best.
Night!
