Parliament House High Tea

To top off the celebrations this week for Helen's 70th birthday, the Sunday Stitching girls went out for high tea....
And not just any high tea! We booked in to Parliament House ages ago and our day out finally arrived.
Parliament House is pretty impressive. I really enjoyed the tour afterwards too and wished I could take photos inside of the gorgeous chandeliers, staircases, library and Christmas display.
This is the building where we had our tea.
The room was really lovely.
Music, gorgeous table settings, high ceilings, parquetry floors ..... Just beautiful.
The food was amazing. I loved that they wrote "happy birthday" in chocolate on Helen's plate.
There was plenty to eat!
And as much as I loved the sweet treats, the salmon was delicious.
It was such a lovely day and I'm thrilled so many friends were able to share this day with us for Helens birthday. Thanks everyone! Hope you enjoyed it Helen!
