Another Trip to O'Reillys

Whenever my hubby suggests a trip up Duck Creek Road to O'Reillys, I'm out the door, waiting at the car, ready to go. This is such a fun trip in the 4WD and always a beautiful reward of views and scenery and peacefulness at the top at O'Reillys.  Today we went up with another car of friends and the trip up and back was a thrill to say the least. With more rain since our last trip up, the road was very unpredictable and extremely slippery. A lot of fun though.
Firstly, after telling people there are camels on the way up but having no proof.... I got proof today and saw, not one, but three camels all up.This fellow let us get up nice and close for a pic.
Like I said, the road was very slippery and boys being boys..... they tried to outdo each other on the little off-tracks and sidings. At least none of us got stuck today and had to get winched out!
We had a lovely, quick lunch up there and did the usual bushwalk out to the Treetop Walk. It was lovely and cool and we even had some light rain. The only thing we didn't do today, was feed the birds.
Such a fun day and nice to share it with friends.... even if they thought some of those tracks were a good idea!

That looks like lots of fun! Used to love off roading when we lived in Botswana.
