Christmas Table Topper

I stitched along with Jenny of Elephantz to make her Christmas Table Topper. It was a great tutorial with a lovely stitchery to start it off....
I really enjoyed stitching the cute Christmas tree in the centre.
Putting it together was lovely and easy with Jenny's great tutorial.  I've used feature fabric to make 4 snowball blocks for the sides.

Thanks for a great tutorial and pattern Jenny. I'm so happy with how it turned out.

Finishes this Month

I've been on a bit of a roll this month. Thank goodness as I have a lot to finish before Christmas.
First there was Dilby the psychedelic duck!
Then I made some vintage inspired lace and button cards for my Vintage swap with Jenny.
An 'M' monogram stitchery for my lovely friend Marina who was up visiting from Melbourne.
A signature block for Jeanette's birthday.
Jenny's lovely Christmas stitchery and table topper (which will be a Christmas gift this year, that is if I can part with it!)
I got a little addicted to making teeny tiny zipper pouches.
9 in total but I can see more in the future.... They are great for little gifts. Just the right size for your keys and some coins.
Some little Halloween cards .....
 With a surprise inside.
My miniature quilt from Sarah Fielke's new book. This is for the Little Quilt Swap.
I also made my partner a teacup mugrug and a key fob.
The key fobs were a lot of fun to make.
They started growing too - another addiction!
Some Santa mugrugs then developed. I needed a few little gifts to go with my Christmas swaps this year.
Four mug rugs in total!
Then I started playing with my vintage laces, doilies, buttons and ribbons....
First I made one stocking.... They are about 17 " from top to toe and fully lined.
Then I made another.....
Then I made another two. These ones have some rustic tin stars and hearts attached.. Notice they all have a little Eiffel Tower charm.... and some French vintage postcards that I've transferred to fabric.
These are for gifts this Christmas and I'd like to keep one.... but now I don't know which one to keep!.
I have also finally made my first Lucy Boston quilt block. I have been in love with this quilt for ages and I really hope this block is the first of many!!!
Phew!!!! So glad my sewing mojo has come back!
Christmas is getting closer and closer and hopefully I can keep up the sewing .... I have so much more to do!!
Hope you've had a great month and managed to cross some projects off your "To Do" lists too!!

It's Getting Hot Already ....

I managed a bit of late night stitching last night after work. Still trying to decide a good layout for my Christmas stitcheries by Wendy.
Today I'm playing with some vintage pretties. I've got all these ideas running around in my head.....
Can't believe it's as hot as it is today. It's not summer yet but we're getting awfully close to 40 C already. I'm making good use of those lovely fresh fruits I bought yesterday!
The fruit is delicious at this time of the year and the only thing I feel like eating when it's hot.
Such wonderful happy mail I received today from the wonderful clothing range by Little Tienda. I bought these in her crazy sale last week and scored myself a few exceptional bargains. Best part is these cool cotton tops are going to be just the thing to wear in this heat! I just love the gorgeous hand embroidered detail on her clothing.
Hope you're staying cool and having s great day!!!

Little Quilt Swap

I joined in with the Little Quilt Swap hosted by Sarah Fielke. All quilts were made from her new book "Little Quilts:"
This is the quilt I made for my partner. It's called "Garden Paths". I am really happy with how it turned out... just hope my partner likes it too.
I've used Annie Downs fabrics in this but found a nice floral fabric for the centre.
Love the back fabric also.... Rosalie Quinlan design...it was hard to part with ha ha!!!
I also made my partner a teacup mug rug and key fob. In her list she said she likes pink!
My label on the back.
This was a fun swap and I really enjoyed making the little quilt.
Can't wait to show you what I received.....
