Celebrating with the girls

Last Tuesday we celebrated Norreens birthday... what did we do? We went out for the day on one of our fun road trips... shopping, laughing and eating.... and lots more laughing!
First things first, Norreen had to open her presents!
On the road... our first trip was Pleasure Sew at Capalaba. Don't these three look like they're up to no good?
I haven't been to this shop before and it had lots of lovely decorator pieces, old machines and vintage dolls and toys as well as lots of gorgeous fabric.
Second stop was morning tea and it was delicious. I had a mango cheesecake and a chai and it went down a treat!!!!

Third stop was Bayside Quilters.... and look who I found there! I was hoping the lovely Joy (from Joypatch) was going to be there!!! I haven't seen Joy since our trip to Melbourne, so it was lovely to catch up (even though she was working).

Love this photo of us (thanks Helen!)... Joy, Helen, Me, Sandi, Norreen and Laurel. Unfortunately (the other) Tereasa couldn't make it today.
As you can see... we have a few bags and I found lots of things here I couldn't go home without!
Some of my purchases from Bayside... I just love this fabric and I bought a couple of panels, coordinating fabric and some gorgeous buttons to match.
These fabrics also found their way home with me... along with the cute tin pincushions and the sweet stork scissor gift set (it comes with needles, a thimble and a tape measure).
Lunch was the last stop and as Sandi had a craving for fish and chips today we ate at a really nice pub where she got just what she wanted. I had the peri peri chicken and it was really good.
I love getting together with these girls ... we have so much fun together and the day is always full of fun and laughing and being a little bit naughty.... some of us are naughtier than others ha ha ha!!!
Can't wait for the next day together.
Hope you are having a great week!
Teresa xx
