Saturday Morning Catch Up!

Good Morning! Hope you're having a great start to the weekend.
It's been so hot here the last couple of days, and very hazy with all the bush fires around us.
It looks like today is going to be another scorcher - so for breakfast I felt like something nice and cold....
Fresh bananas, frozen blueberries and honey flavoured yoghurt... a good start.....
Mt Lindsay... just up the road....
My eyesight is still on the mend and unfortunately everything is still very blurry. Huge "Thank You" to all the lovely well wishes!!!
My sewing has been quite limited and I'm only managing some basic sewing... but I have made a few things...
Like Moustache cushions!!!!
Just in time for Movember!!!! Just a bit of fun and they make a great, quirky home decor item.. ha ha!!!!
I did make two of them, but one of them has disappeared already.....
I have also managed some lovely, simple Christmas stockings from Tilda.
Starting to feel the Christmas Craziness creeping up on me.....
Last night I saw Julia Morris at the Tivoli Theatre.  How can I have lived all my life near Brisbane and never been to the Tivoli Theatre?????? It is absolutely gorgeous.. built in 1917 and restored so beautifully. Just loved it... Oh and Julia was FANTASTIC.. I laughed so much I had tears streaming down my face. The guy she pulled out of the audience at the end of the night and sang "Islands in the Stream" with, though, absolutely stole the show!!! What a crack up. Big thanks to Jack, who ended up using one of the tickets to the show at the very, very last minute!!!
Hope you're all having a great weekend!!!

Breakfast looks yummy. Crazy moustache cushions. I love them. The stockings are cute. They look good sewn tall and skinny.

Good to hear that you're feeling better. Simple projects can still be lovely, and funny...maybe the mo pillows will catch on.

Hi Theresa, it seems like I haven't had a catch up with you in forever. Glad you are feeling better. Just love the mo cushions. We live quite close to bush land too which is a worry during fire season especially with the gusty winds around today.

Mo cushions..I've never seen them before, very interesting! Love your tilda stockings. Glad that you could have your son home for a while. Must be so hard to see him leave again. At least with tech savy world it's easier keeping in touch than what it was back in our parents days.
