Not the reunion I thought it would be.....

Yesterday Jack and I arrived in Sydney and found James. It was so good to all be together. We had a lovely day and drove to the Hunter Valley to spend time with family before the wedding on Saturday. The boys decided to have a ride around the property on the motorbikes - and that's when things went a little pear shaped!!
Yes - they came off the bike in the gravel. The are both missing a fair bit if skin on their arms, hands, backs and hips. After a few hours in emergency last night, Jack has 5 stitches in his elbow. It could have been so much worse. I'm glad they had helmets and jeans and shoes on!!!! I'm also very glad my niece Sammy was there as she drove us to the hospital last night and was great company for me while we waited, not knowing exactly what was going on. I swear I aged 10 years after all that. This is going to be a wedding to remember - so far there has been 6 people from the wedding party and the guests who have been to or spent time in hospital this week before the wedding! Luckily the bride and groom are in great shape!!!!
So there has been a lot of bandaging and nursing duties going on here - not the relaxing time I thought it would be!!!! Ha ha!!!!!
I hope you all have a great weekend. Teresa

OUCH.. been there, have the scars to prove it, though I always wore full leather I somehow still managed to get gravel rash!!! Hope they learned from this...much better to leave leather on the ground than a layer of skin. Hugs xx

I was going to say "boys will be bouys" - but the other Susan beat me to it...spooky...- what a shame - I'll bet you were looking forward to resting, stitching, drinking a glass or two...Hopefully it can get better from here on. Enjoy it as much as you can.
