Time for some changes.......

2011 has been a wonderful year for us, but it has also been a year of changes and lots of closing of chapters...
My husband has worked for 21 years as a Tafe Teacher, teaching panel beating...
It's a job he's loved and is wonderful at. Last week this job finished for him and we are still unsure of what next year will bring. It's very sad to see him leave this job and the wonderful people that he worked with...
Also this year saw 17 years of schooling come to a close... Both my boys have now finished school and the making of school lunches, ironing and washing school uniforms, trips back and forth to school every day....All finished!!!!
In 3 weeks my eldest son is off the UK for 7 months... He will be finishing his final year of Uni over there... another huge change for our family..
So I am looking forward to 2012 and all the new chapters that will be starting and all the changes that are coming our way...
Who knows what lies in store for us??
Gotta love change! Don't you????

Exciting and a bit uncertain times ahead but your family will be fine. 2011 was very much like that for our family and we have so much to look forward to in the new year.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful festive season. Hope we catch up at some stage next year. Maybe a quilt camp or two. Change is always hard to cope with but usually works out for the better in the end. What a great experience for your son and no more school lunches is definitely worth celebrating. I'm back to making them after many years break. If you miss it too much you can make a few for me. Hope to see you in 2012. Hugs.....

You certainly have many big milestones occurring.
It is lovely to see your children growing into young adults.
I do love the saying about when one door closes, another one opens. Good luck.

Even though we raise our children to be grownups it takes a little getting used to from our side of things....gotta love no more uniforms or school lunches. It is nice to spend more time together as a couple though. Shez is right your wonderful outlook will draw positive things to you. Best wishes to your hubby for his next chapter and Blessings to you all.

So no1 son is spreading his wings again, hope he has a wonderful trip.
Hopefully the future will bring some certainty for your hubs work situation. Must be disappointing after 21 years.
Change isn't always bad, a new adventure perhaps?
