Having the "coolest" day......

This little book on things to see and do in Brisbane is one of the best things I've ever bought.
I've tried and managed to do a lot of the things in there, and this week my son James and I crossed off another "must do" from this book.
Over at Morningside is the coolest, most wonderful barber shop I have ever seen. It's called Bare Bones Barbershop. James needed a haircut... so what a great excuse to check it out.
It was like stepping back in time and we loved it.The walls are covered in old school posters and photographs as well as skateboards! The barbers chairs and even the lounge look like they've come straight from the 50's... there is an old fridge holding...what else... but coca cola in glass bottles! In the corner is an old (working) Space Invaders machine. The music was also wonderful to listen to....Even their hair products, which they've created themselves, are cool!I love his haircut and the experience of going to this great little barbershop was definitely worth it!
After that we headed into the City and needed a drink...
This little alley looks like it's heading no where...
except it ends in one of the best (and of course "coolest") cafes.... called Brew.
It's at the end of Burnett Lane and it's just lovely.
They serve amazing Tapas there too....as well as a great coffee!
Love catching up with this guy and I think he's pretty "cool" too...

Last on the list we checked out the Christmas tree in front of City Hall....
It's finally starting to feel like Christmas for me!
Another great day... I love checking out new places and things to do...
I'm trying to talk him into a game of croquet next... he he!
Have a great weekend,

What a great book, how on earth would anyone find these places if they were not in a book...are all the places in the book as peculiar?...love the hair cut..
